A Comparative Study on Ivermectin-Doxycycline and Hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin Therapy on COVID-19 Patients

Objectives: We investigated the outcomes of Ivermectin-Doxycycline vs. Hydroxychloroquine-Azithromycin combination therapy in mild to moderate COVID19 patients. Methods: Patients were divided randomly into two groups: Ivermectin 200µgm/kg single dose + Doxycycline 100mg BID for ten days group A, and Hydroxychloroquine 400mg first day, then 200mg nine Azithromycin 500mg daily five B (Control group). RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 infection was repeated all symptomatic patients on second day onward without symptoms. Repeat PCR done every if result found positive. Time negative recovery measured each group. Results: All subjects Group A reached a PCR, at mean 8.93 days, recovery, 5.93 with 55.10% symptom-free by fifth day. In B, 96.36% 9.33 symptoms-free 6.99 days. 31.67% expressed symptoms caused medication, this 46.43% B. Conclusion: The showed trend towards superiority disease.
